Living in Limbo by Robert Mierisch

Poetry by Robert Mierisch has been a travelling companion for some weeks now. Robert’s work and passion is renewable energy and this is a poem he wrote in 2014

Living in Limbo

Imagine a future robust and gentle,

Dream of ways to bend waves, wind and sun

to meet our needs with sympathy

for plants and fauna, every one.

Refine the methods and

Study the field.

Reduce the costs then,

Measure the yield.

Waves are intense and last for days.

Surviving most storms is the structure’s challenge,

Many have found effective ways.

Proving economics is the hardest.

Wind is a wonder,

Sun is a gentler source.
