I love retirement for many reasons. I have more time to play and explore my home town instead of keeping commuter hours. I also don’t have to dress conservatively in work clothes. My wardrobe has more colour and a greater variety of casual clothes. I experiment and where possible buy vintage.
Markets and charity shops are a great source of vintage gear for men and women. Here’s a sample of what I found in a days stroll through vintage shops in my town.
This hot pink vintage coat would look stunning with a pillbox hat….. very Jackie O! A man’s leather and sheepskin jacket in very good condition. The sixties navy dress is lovely if you’re a size 8…. ah memories!
Sonia Rykiel Tops are lots of fun! And straw bags are great for summer.
Linen always looks good! Prices varied, but as a general rule, they were 50%- 70% off the normal price. Check out your vintage stores next time you wander.
